Fall Sports

Cross Country - This sport requires distance running on irregular courses. There are also frequent training sessions.

 

Volleyball - It is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score by hitting a ball onto the floor of the other team's court. The participants in this sport are required to be in the corresponding athletic period for their age group.

 

Football - This sport requires rigorous physical contact as one team tries to score points and the opposing team tries to prevent them from doing so. Football is played and practiced outside however there are indoor requirements for football as well such as strength and conditioning training. The participants in this sport are required to be in the corresponding athletic period for their age group.

 

 

Winter Sports

Basketball - It is a sport, generally played by two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop that is 10 feet off of the ground while the opposing team attempts to prevent them from doing so. The participants of this sport are required to be in the corresponding athletic period for their age group.

 

Powerlifting - It is a strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift.

 

Soccer - The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing goal with the opponents trying to prevent that from happening. The female participants of this sport are required to be in the corresponding athletic period for their age group.

 

Baseball - It is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of nine players each, who take turns batting and fielding. The team that is batting attempts to score runs with the team fielding trying to prevent that by making outs.

 

Softball - Softball is a variant of baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. It is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of nine players each, who take turns batting and fielding. The team that is batting attempts to score runs with the team fielding trying to prevent that by making outs.

 

Track & Field - It is a sport which includes athletic contests established on the skills of running, jumping, and throwing.

 

Tennis - It is a racket sport that can be played individually against a single opponent (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a ball covered with felt over a net and into the opponent's court.

 

Golf - It is a club and ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a

golf course in as few strokes as possible.
