Over the last year, a Facilities Planning Committee comprised of a cross-section of our community diligently studied and deliberated the needs of our District. In December, they made a recommendation to the Board of Trustees of a list of projects to address the highest priorities. After much thought and discussion, the Board decided to move forward with the Committee’s recommendation, and with a unanimous vote, the Board called a $60.81 million bond election for May 5, 2018.

SISD is taking steps to increase the standardization of our communication. Partnering with School Messenger, we are now able to communicate directly with our parents, guardians, students and community through a variety of platforms. We understand that one of the most direct and immediate forms of communication is through text messaging. However, we need your permission to make this service available on your device.
To opt-in for Direct Text Messages, text "Y" or "Yes" to 67587.
This new coordinated approach will allow the District and Campuses to send up to the minute, real time information via text messaging, Twitter, Facebook, recording and email.
