Stephenville ISD no longer has a paper registration packet that student athlete and their parents must fill out and return. For the 2016-2017 school year the packet will be online.
To complete the online registration to be eligible for athletics or cheerleading you will need your student's ID number. It is located in the Family Access section of your student's online account and can be found under Student Info. It is called "Other ID" in Family Access.
Students entering the 7th, 9th, and 11th grades will still have to turn in a pre participation physical examination to be able to participate in athletics, cheerleading or Stings.
Stephenville ISD also has a new external athletic website. Please bookmark http://svilleathletics.com/ Once it is up and running it will have scores, pictures, and game recaps from SHS athletic events.
The Athletic Department is an integral part of the total educational process of Stephenville ISD. Being involved in athletics provides the student with opportunities to develop leadership skills and to learn the ideals of fair play and ethical behavior which are necessary for competition and cooperation in our society. It should also provide our students with the unique opportunities for self-discipline, self-sacrifice, and loyalty to the community, the school and the team.
Stephenville ISD encourages all students to participate in athletics by offering a well-rounded program of interscholastic athletics for both young men and women.
Competition and cooperation are prized in our culture, and both are fostered by a well conducted athletic program under competent leadership. Athletics which are regulated to meet educational objectives can provide a major contribution to the physical and moral development of students.
Our coaches are primarily responsible for the compliance by their squad members to the all rules, regulations, and policies governing athletics at Stephenville ISD. The above include all UIL, district, and local policies which govern participation in Stephenville ISD athletics.
Compliance is enhanced when athletes and their parents are informed of and understand the policies. All coaches (and their direct support: assistant coaches and “walk on” staff such as student teachers) are directly responsible to the office of the Athletic Director for the application of these rules and regulations. The Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic Director will administer these rules and regulations as they relate to inter squad and inter coach relationships.
We are proud to be associated with all of the student athlete of Stephenville ISD and promise that we will dedicate ourselves to upholding the proud tradition of Stephenville ISD athletics.
