this video will go over the basics of tech building for elar teachers you will need to log into your head before you account and then once in can you forward you need to click on aware band in where you want to click on the assessment tab play down at the bottom you have to assessment options create new teacher test and create a new tat you will be utilizing the create a new next assessment option so click on that and you have some options here the one to building a test will be the second radio doll create a new play next you will insert your test title you will choose your grade level the start and date will be the dates that the test will be available for you to print out answer key and scan for your test High you will have two options common assessment and individual teacher test I'm under a demo site do I have two more options so you will select which of the test types the test you are creating falls under either common assessments or individual teacher Tad and select that and then you look like next sure you will open up your course selection and find your subject area and then find your grade level this is what will bring all the test questions and also all of the SES into the test building like next so you're done but you're not truly done until you click finish down at the bottom this will open up your window where you can make any corrections need be I'm you can also do some configuration before performance levels are like threshold that you can create for this particular test when you go to the curriculum time you will see that you have your curriculum here if you need to add any curriculum you can to bring in as these are reading Passages at different grade levels here on the question tab is where we will begin create our cat so over here on the right for elar teachers my suggestion in creating cats to go to the search resources so when you click on the search resources you will see you can do by title search but if you don't have your title yet you can hit the dropdown arrow and actually come over here to the genre and feel like by certain genre elar teachers cannot do as the searches if you do an Etsy search you will end up having multiple passages which is one or two so you will either need to do by genre search or by a specific a title passage so right here you can take your genre quick search resources and here it will populate all of the resources for that particular genre and Whatever item Bank you have purchased so when you look down here this database uses other codeine as like play dark gray light gray dark right so the Pantages to tell which the passages are ours to look at the arrows that are to the Far Far Right these are the passages where you can open the arrow and preview on and then these are all the questions that are associated with that Passage were you can open them up and this enables you to select certain questions because there may be certain skills at this dude haven't gotten to you might not want to put those on the test if you scroll down you can see I have another arrow off to the far right this is another passage it also lets me know it's an editing it can also let me know if it's a revised editing and it can also say pear path if it has a pair of Passage so you can open them up and see them so if you just scroll down you can see all the ones that have the arrows and noticed summer the dark grey and then like this one up here the lighter gray it just goes from that light gray to dark great so just look for the passage is better use arrows off to the far right and you can go scroll through and see all the packages you have and all the questions that are associated with them so to build your task if you find a passage that you want to go with all you need to do is click the plus sign and you want to commit to the click so you don't want to end up clicking it too many times or that questions on there like 3 or 4 times on your test should just click once on the plus sign eventually you will start to see those plus signs turn to check marks you don't need to add the passage because once you add the question the passage will automatically come in you can see here that underneath this passage I underneath here is where my test can you can start seeing my passage you can also do a specific title search if you have Pacific title we can reset this and we can actually put the put a specific test passage in here and at the when did this video I'll show you where you can go to find all the passages so you don't have to go in here you can just find them so when you put your title passage you will see that are those for that particular title in so again just go through and either do title search or once you've gone through and got your test you will close the window and then you can go through here and see that you have your passage with those questions attached so once you're done then you will go to the next tab which is campuses and make sure your campus is selected can you go on to the student stabbed the student stabbed is important because this is where you'll find the students that you're Master the test to either plain paper or by doing it online so my recommendation is students and selected course you can do the selected teachers that pick yourself but when you go to try to find your test if you don't find it might suggest do students in selected courses and then you will pick your course now I'm in a demo site so I have to change to the actual subject area that this particular teacher teaches so so we can find the test afterwards but you will find your set your course and the good thing about this too it's great for teeming cuz if you build a test you can take that particular and then it will go out to all the teachers that teach that particular course so they can administer it to their students as well so in here when you make selections you have to click say so make sure you click State then you'll go to the administration tab make sure you have a loud for plain paper texting and then if you want to do online make sure you allow for online and it will have you have to go back down and see you can tell out teachers so you need to make those two selections and then also interactive or bubble sheet only interactive will put the Stooges in everything in there so that way you can just go and administer the test without having to print it out then you'll click save air on the print is where you can print your tax booklet it will come up in a PDF file and then you can just print it out once you've made if your selections you will need to come over here and make your test active if your test is not active you will not be able to minister it once you've your dad asked if you will then go to the analyze cab like on your test available and then under School administration this is where y C. Common Assessment you'll click on that test and this will be all your courses and you can select them to down here at the bottom answer sheets so the answer sheets will come up in a PDF file and you can go through and look and see that you will have all your kids names pre-populated on those answer documents for you you do also have the option which I suggest doing one at a time your course down here at the bottom is start online testing where you can start when not text. Gets over you can hit start online testing again and stop it so as for when we were going through the process I also told you that there's a place where you can search the passages and if you will go to the item tab thing this is where you can open up your particular grade level and subject area and then over here it's what is class but you see where it says resources if you click that down arrow or just click on resources this is where you can see and the first change will always come out blank if you scroll down sometimes the second page you'll start to see the passage and so this is where you can copy play some two word some of those passage title and then just search via title like we did in the first test so this is the video tutorial on how to build test for elar
